CALL FOR PAPER FOR INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR TO BE HELD IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER, 2017 ON THE OCCASSION OF 125 YEARS CELEBRATION OF BAUDDHA DHARMANKUR SABHA.

Seminar Title         “ Multiple Dimensions of Pali Tipitaka”

Concept Note :   According to traditions, Pali Tipitaka consisting of three broad divisions namely Suttapitaka, Vinayapitaka and Abhidhammapitaka. Venerable Bhadanta Ananda is said to have recited the Suttapitaka; Venerable Bhadanta Upali has recited the Vinaya rules for the yellow-robed Buddhist disciples. Separate rules were provided for the Bhikkhus ( monks) and those for Bhikkhunis ( nuns).Venerable Bhadanta Mahakasyapa had analysed the psychological aspects of Buddha’s teachings in Abhidhamma Tipitaka after the Mahaparinibbana at Rajagriha (presently Rajgir).

Since then more than 2560 years have passed. Human societies all over the globe have been changing fast during the period. Despite that human values have been changing in the course of time new spheres among the human societies have been generating all over the globe. But Tipitaka continues and an attempt to re-evaluate the Tipitaka demands in the present day circumstances.  Venerable yellow-robed ones as well as the Buddhist laities and scholars interested in Buddhist thoughts are invited to participate with their specific observations and academic researches on ‘Multiple Dimensions of Pali Tipitaka’. No specific subjects are allocated with a view to generate new dimensions about the theme by academicians, researchers, laities and the yellow-robed venerable Buddhist masters.

It is appreciated that positive response would be accepted from all corners of the world with no barriers whether Buddhists or non-Buddhists. For research scholars engaged in universities or other academic issues would take the benefit of attending the seminar with no subscription. Certificates will be distributed in respect to them.
